Formed under the patronage of the Qazaqconcert Concert Association, it consists of winners of international competitions: violinist Maxat Jussupov, cellist Murat Narbekov, and pianist Timur Urmancheyev, founder and artistic director of the ensemble, Emeritus Artist of Kazakhstan and Knight of the Order "Kurmet". The Forte Trio's repertoire ranges from Baroque music to great Romantic masterpieces and up to jazz; compositions by contemporary Kazakh authors and Kazakh folk music occupy an important place in the ensemble's artistic activity. The Forte Trio undertakes tours and carries out an intense concert activity in the world's most prestigious concert halls, such as the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow, the Beijing Philharmonic, the Cadillac Hall in Shanghai, the Berlin Philharmonie (with the Berliner Philharmoniker), the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Molière Hall in Lyon, and also in Italy, Finland, Malta, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and even in the exotic islands of Antigua and Barbuda.
