Born in Milan in 1991, Tommaso Maggiolini graduated in flute at just 18 years old from the “G. Verdi” Conservatory in Milan, later refining his skills with Alfred Rutz, Verena Bosshart, and Felix Renggli at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana and the Hochschule der Künste in Bern. He engages in intensive chamber music activity—from duo to quartet—that has led him to perform in Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, Germany, and the United States. He has recorded, in various ensembles, for the labels VDE-Gallo, Concerto Classics, Sony Classical, and Aulicus Classics, and has also collaborated with RSI – Radiotelevisione Svizzera Italiana for several live concerts. Since 2018, he has collaborated as principal flutist with the Orchestra da Camera Canova, with which he has also performed as soloist.
